CarPro Automotive Tap
Using bad masking tape for protecting trim and plastics while polishing is the absolutely worst!
The two things I hate about bad tap are:
- The tape doesn't adhere to the vehicle and lifts as soon as the polisher touches it. Maddening!
- The tape adhesive sticks to the vehicle when removing the tape. Also freaking maddening!
CarPro's red tape works super well and ticks both the above box's. It affordable and easily attainable so it has become my go to over the years.
I use the the 15mm tape on all the curved areas on the car as the tape is a little flexible and can be moulded around some curves.
I use the 24mm and 45mm tape to fill in large areas light headlights etc.
The 55mm tape doesn't get used very often but it's a nice option to have on hand for small tight areas.
